Dr. Aisha Akhtar, MD, FCPS, FACS, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon and general surgeon providing expert colorectal care in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the greater Arizona region. She is board certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, representing the highest level of specialty training and expertise in colorectal surgery. Dr. Akhtar completed her medical degree at Army Medical College, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. She pursued advanced surgical training both internationally and in the United States, including fellowship training in surgical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the world’s leading cancer centers. She then completed an ACGME-accredited colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience managing complex colorectal diseases. Dr.
