Theater Phoenix
Built in 1929, the Great Arizona Puppet Theater now resides inside a former church in Downtown Phoenix. The building was deemed a National Register of Historic Place in the early 1970s and also underwent a substantial renovation in 1996 before opening up as a performance space. The former halls, chapels, and rooms now serve a multitude of purposes, from puppet construction to birthday party rooms. Great outings and entertainment for children, families, and adults come for quality entertainment year-round, from local puppeteers and national touring acts. Theater productions change regularly, showcasing both classic tales and new exciting stories. Children as young as two years old are mesmerized by these engaging, kid-friendly shows.
