  • Carla

    Certified Pilates Instructor

The start of my fitness career began in 1982, as an AFAA certified aerobic instructor. I began teaching classes any and all styles of fitness a club had to offer. The weight room quickly became part of my workout regime and I received my training certification from AFAA which led me into starting my own business "Better Body by Carla" in 1985..I soon realized my clients not only needed cardio but resistance training and proper nutrition were a must. Another opportunity arose. My passion moved into owning and operating my very own "gym"...The Club. There I continued to help others find their love for fitness. In 1993, yoga started to boom in clubs everywhere. I was soon addicted to the practice and taught classes which enhanced my level of fitness. In 2007, the pilates' director at the club where I was teaching classes asked if I would like to check out his pilates studio..It did not take long for me to be trained in the practice of small group classes. I loved it!!!! Pilates gave me everything I was looking for especially after decades of teaching, training for marathons, riding centuries and completing a 1/2 Ironman. With a family of 4 children, over 36 years in fitness....Pilates has kept me going strong! I strive to pass that along to my clients. My motto: Balance, consistency, commitment...anyone can find the passion within to feel and become the best they can be!!!

  • Kimberly

    Certified Pilates Instructor

My name is Kimberly I am a recent transplant to sunny Arizona hailing from the gray skies of Seattle Washington where I’ve lived most of my life. I have been a certified Balanced Body and Power House Pilates instructor for 15 years owning my own studio for 8 of those years. I believe that Pilates is a life changing gift and I’m so lucky that everyday I get to share that gift with my clients!

  • Renee

    Certified Pilates Instructor

I completed my comprehensive training through Pilates Sports Center in 2014. Since then, I have earned certifications in TRX, barre and TriggerPoint. I strive to always give my best in class and pass on the knowledge I’ve learned throughout all the various trainings and workshops I have attended. As a mother of four, I can relate to a busy schedule and struggling to find the time for yourself. Pilates started out as a way for me to shape my body after I had my third child in 2006. Pilates helped me get back to my pre-baby body then, as well as after baby number four in 2012, but there was something deeper than just the physical. I found that my mind was more relaxed after class, even if my muscles were still a little shaky. The breath, the concentration and the mind-body connection were the Pilates principals I fell in love with; the joy I feel helping others find their own connections in Pilates is why I love to teach.

  • Evgeniya

    Certified Pilates Instructor

I am originally from Russia. I moved to AZ 14 years ago in pursuit of a better life and more opportunities. Well, 360 days of sunshine didn't sound like a bad idea to a girl who grow up in icy cold Siberia either. I have always been into fitness, and when I was introduced to Pilates, it made a total sense to me. I love that Pilates provides a full body workout whilst restoring an original alignment of the spine we were designed to have. I found Pilates to be the best way to become stronger, more flexible and healthiest version of yourself. One of my hobbies is running marathons. Ever since I started doing Pilates, it helped me to become a much better and faster runner by improving my posture, core strength and overall endurance which is critical for long distance runners. I received my certification through Pilates Sport Center. I am committed to helping clients achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall health and well-being with Pilates practice.

I've always enjoyed taking Pilates and because I saw and felt the amazing and positive results from Pilates I decided to further advance my education and become a Pilates instructor in 2013. I am certified in Peak, Balance Body, Pilates Suspension (TRX) Method, and Barre Above. Before I became an instructor I was a member with Club Pilates for a year and loved it. • Melanie

    Certified Pilates Instructor

I was introduced to Pilates in 2008, but it became my passion in 2011 as a supplement to my fitness and tennis regimen. I am a USPTA Developmental Tennis Coach. I coached at the high school level in Ashwaubenon, WI (GO PACK GO!) and have taught junior tennis for the City of Scottsdale and Fountain Hills Park and Rec programs. Pilates has aided me in the rehabilitation of my torn Rotator Cuff and Elbow Tendinitis granting continued mobility and strength in my core and upper body. I'm also a golfer, so I incorporate Pilates breathing, stretching and core work into my training. I may not be able to reduce your handicap, but through Pilates exercises you'll experience increased rotation, improved balance, breathing and greater core and hip flexibility adding distance to your irons and Driver. I completed my Pilates Sports Center Training Program in 2012 and am a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. I currently teach on Balanced Body Equipment; Reformer, Tower, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Mat exercises using a variety of props. I believe in modification to gain the core understanding of Pilates and adding variations to an exercise when the student is ready for a challenge! Speaking of a challenge, I also teach TRX and Barre.
